Last week, our NTHS students volunteered at the food bank to give back to the community and help those in need. Thank you for your service, hard work, and for representing Harlandale with pride!

The real Pride of the Southside takes the stage tomorrow night! Join the Harlandale High School Band for their Spring Concert on Wednesday, May 20 at 6:30 PM in the HHS Auditorium. Come out and support our talented student musicians as they showcase all their hard work and dedication this season!

Today we proudly recognize four members of the Class of 2026 who have committed themselves to serving our country through military enlistment.

With the guidance, leadership, and mentorship of SSG Tijerina and LTC Aguilar through the Harlandale High School JROTC program, these students have shown dedication, discipline, and pride throughout their high school journey.

Dynasty Solano, Fernanda Huerta-Castillo, and Trustin Regalado have been part of the JROTC program for 2 years, while Juan Rivas Sorola has dedicated 4 years to the program.

We are proud of the commitment each of these students has made as they begin this next chapter of service and leadership.

Celebrating excellence on wheels! 🎮🚌 Students with perfect attendance and outstanding grades earned a well-deserved class period on the game bus. Hard work, dedication, and showing up every day pays off!

Shoutout to Mrs. Vanessa Vallejo, our Principles of Health Science teacher, as she prepares to compete in the Spa Girl Tri on May 9! 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Mrs. Vallejo shared that her personal goal is to prove to herself that she can do hard things. While she has completed 5Ks and 10Ks before, this will be her first triathlon and her first race since having her youngest child. As a mom of three and only 9 months postpartum, she has balanced training, work, motherhood, and learning to give herself grace throughout the process.

She hopes to inspire both her children at home and her students at school by showing that when you put your mind toward something, anything is possible. Through early mornings, long workouts, and even unpredictable Texas weather, her discipline and dedication have continued to shine.

Good luck, Mrs. Vallejo! Your Harlandale family is cheering you on every step of the way! 💙

We wrapped up the final Superintendent Parent Advisory Council meeting for the 2025–2026 school year. Thank you to our dedicated parent leaders for their continued partnership and commitment to Harlandale ISD.

During this session, families heard updates from district leaders on Board of Trustee election changes, Fine Arts highlights and summer resources to support our students and families.

Marco Antonio Longoria proudly represented our campus at the Special Olympics Texas State Games in Dallas, earning 🥇 gold in the 50-yard dash and placing 7th in the softball throw. We celebrate your success and the pride you bring to Harlandale—great job, Marco!
