Leena Eguia and Sara Gonzales representing Harlandale at the TXPTSA State Competition in Houston during CTE Month!
There’s no better way to celebrate Career & Technical Education than by watching our students compete, lead, and shine on a state stage. This is exactly what Harlandale CTE provides — real-world experiences, confidence, and opportunities that go beyond the classroom.

🥇 1st Place – Felony Traffic Stop
🥈 2nd Place – Tactical Response
🥈 Izamar Rodriguez – 2nd Place, Criminal Justice
Your hard work, discipline, and dedication to mastering real-world skills truly paid off. We are beyond proud of the professionalism and excellence you represent!
This weekend, they’re headed to Houston to compete at the TXPTSA State Competition. 💪🔥
Let’s wish them the best of luck as they take their talents to the next level! #FutureLeaders #SkillsUSA #HISDProud

February is CTE Month, a time to recognize how Career and Technical Education prepares students for high-skill, high-demand careers through programs like Cybersecurity, Education & Training, Law Enforcement, and Medical pathways.
We are proud to share that The Future Health Professionals Club congratulates Ryan Luna, who earned 1st place in Medical Math, and Chloe Fischer, who earned 3rd place in Medical Terminology at the SkillsUSA District Competition. Both students will advance to the State Competition in April in Corpus Christi.
Thank you to our educators and industry partners for empowering the next generation!
Built with students at the center of every moment, the arena will host performances, competitions, celebrations and community gatherings. Thank you to our community for making this vision possible through Bond 2022.

This past Monday, our talented students put their skills to the ultimate test, competing in SkillsUSA — judged by industry pros to make sure they’re ready for the real world!
From hair color to haircutting, styling, and long hair design, each student brought their A-game in every category. And the excitement didn’t stop there… the competition closed with a parade finale, where every competitor strutted down the stage showing off their completed mannequins!
Our students didn’t just compete — they impressed, inspired, and proved they’re ready to shine in the industry!

Think you can bring the energy? Want to light up the floor? NOW is your chance! No experience needed... just show up ready to learn, work hard, and shine. 💃✨
Step out of your comfort zone, meet new friends, and be part of a team that brings the spirit wherever we go. Don’t watch from the sidelines… BE the performance.
👉 Tryouts are calling — are you answering?
