During the 89th Texas Legislative Session, Governor Greg Abbott signed House Bill 1481 into law. This law limits student use of personal communication devices— including cell phones, smartwatches and headphones— during the instructional day at all Texas public schools.
Harlandale ISD will enforce these state-mandated guidelines at the start of the 2025–26 school year. Families are encouraged to talk with their child about the new expectations and how to be prepared for the first day of school.

Harlandale ISD joined city officials this morning to celebrate the grand opening of the Next Level Urgent Care facility at City Base San Antonio.

Through our partnership with Next Level Prime, staff and their families have unlimited access to high-quality medical care to support their health and well-being year-round.

A big thank you to the McCollum High School Mariachi for an incredible performance. Welcome to the Southside, Next Level Urgent Care. We’re excited for what this means for our community!

Required Seventh Grade Immunizations for the 2025-2026 School Year. Dear Parents/Guardians of Upcoming Seventh Grade Students in Texas Schools: This is a reminder to get your seventh grader vaccinated early before the busy back-to-school rush. State law requires one dose of the meningococcal conjugate (MCV4) vaccine and one dose of the tetanus-diphtheria-acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccine for all students attending Seventh-12th grades. Vacunas obligatorias para el septimo grado durante el año escolar 2025-2026. Estimados padres o tutores de los estudiantes que ingresan al septimo grado en las escuelas de Texas: Este es un recordatorio para que vacune a su estudiante de septimo grado antes del inminente ajetreo por el regreso a clases. Get ready for another summer with our Harlandale ISD Child Nutrition Program's Summer Meals Program! 🍎🥪 Summer meals are provided to students 18 years of age and under. Meals must be consumed on site (no grab and go). The designated locations and serving times are as follows:

A list of prohibited items will also be enforced and not allowed inside the facility. - All bags will be subject to search and inspection before entering the event - Doors will open to the public one hour before each ceremony - All ceremonies will be livestreamed on our YouTube channel: youtube.com/@HarlandaleISDSATX We look forward to celebrating the #Classof2025!
