Attention parents, no more worrying about throwing away your child's artwork. Publish it into a permanent archive of your child's artwork on this free kids online art museum. This app enables parents to take photos of their child's artwork and upload it to their child's online art gallery on Artsonia.com. Once the artwork is published on Artsonia, child artists can enter contests, family members can leave comments for the artist and order keepsakes with their child's artwork on it. Prior to using this app, parents must create an account at www.artsonia.com. Our wonderful art teacher, Ms. Tillman has our students using Artsonia in her classroom on a daily basis. Use the code: X88C9J8C to sign up at https://www.artsonia.com/connect/X88C9J8C, then download the app, Artsonia. @HarlandaleISD

Uh oh! We did some spying on our 5th grade teachers during indoor recess. This is what they do...read (The History of Adams Elementary), organize their desks (how does she organize so many paper clips?!), make phone calls (reception may not be good), print science material (look at her planning ahead), online Christmas shopping (going to forward my Amazon wish list), and take a much needed nap (dreaming of snowy days in the forecast). This is NOT what they really do and no students were harmed while taking these photos.

Attention parents, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will be taking campus benchmark tests over the next two days (Jan. 15-16). This testing is really helpful for our students to understand and get to practice the procedures for the STAAR testing coming up in April. Also, the scores help our teachers know which topics they still need to cover in more depth. It is very important that they are here both days, on time. Please make sure that you are not checking them out early, as they do have all day to complete the testing. Thank you for your help in making sure our students are successful!

Another day of fun here at Adams! Our AP, Mrs. Lopez, was asked to join a few students for lunch, and our counselor, Ms. Penn, shared a story with another group of kids. Plus, all of our 5th grade students received a visit from some of the middle school elective teachers to talk about some of the awesome classes they can sign up for next year.
