Looking for something fun to do over spring break? The Cub Scouts are hosting a Spring Break Camp for grades 1st-5th on March 10th and 11th. The cost for students is $25, however, there are scholarships available. Parents are also invited to join for free (parents are required for 1st grade students). We just received some great news! Two of our Adams students won 1st and 3rd in their division for the SAFD Fire Safety poster contest! Congratulations to Elena Sarratos and Jayleen Mata! The students will each receive a trophy from the fire department at a special awards ceremony. Also, thank you to Ms. Tillman for working with our students to get them entered into the contest. Harlandale ISD: After consulting with weather agencies and local school districts, we have determined that tomorrow’s weather does not pose safety concerns for ice or freezing. The NCAA Final Four Fan Jam is still touring the around the city, bringing basketball thrills to every stop. Come shoot hoops, take photos with the trophy, and don’t miss out on the action! The next stop will be at the All-American Bowl & San Antonio Sports All-Star Game on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the Alamodome.

We are closely monitoring weather conditions this week and want to keep you informed. As of now, school is scheduled to begin as planned tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 8. We anticipate cold, but dry weather through Wednesday, Jan. 7 with temperatures as low as 30 degrees. The timeframe we are closely monitoring is Wednesday night into early Thursday due to potential precipitation. We will continue to monitor the forecast closely and provide updates as soon as possible if conditions change. If it is necessary to close schools on Thursday, Jan. 9, we will make every effort to communicate this by the evening of Wednesday, Jan. 8. However, since weather conditions can change quickly, a decision made on Thursday morning will be finalized by 5:15 a.m., and the notification process will begin immediately after.
