We had a great turnout at our April Second Cup of Coffee meeting this morning. A big shout out to our Harlandale highschool counselors for talking to our parents about transitioning to highschool!
Our former Leal MS student, Andres Caracheo, who is currently a senior at Harlandale STEM Early College High School, continued his success in robotics and academics. Andres will be graduating in May from HISD STEM Early College High School with both a high school diploma and an Associates degree. Andres and his robotics teammate, Nicholas Farnsworth, have been visiting Leal for the past several years to share their experiences of High School and College life with the students in the Leal MS STEM classes. Andres Caracheo was awarded a $40,000.00 scholarship to the college of his choosing along with a paid internship at Amazon. Andres' success is a reminder to all that great things happen to students who work hard every day and give back to their community.
