We hope you have a wonderful winter break and we will see everyone in 2026!

What a day of music, culture and community!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Harlandale ISD Mariachi Festival at McCollum High School. Students from across our elementary, middle and high schools filled the day with incredible performances, showcasing the talent, pride and tradition of our mariachi programs.
Families enjoyed great music, food and time together as we celebrated our students and the rich cultural roots that make Harlandale ISD so special. We’re grateful for our musicians, directors, staff and community for making this event such a success and we can’t wait to do it again next year!

Yesterday our 4th and 5th graders had the privilege of hearing the Harlandale Middle School Jazz band and choir perform for them. Students were able to meet the band, examine the instruments , sing along and see what it is like to be a part of the Harlandale music department.

Thank you to everyone who joined us last night for our community movie night. We had such a great time watching our holiday movie together with you!

Wright Elementary Garden Club students, along with their families and sponsors, celebrated the completion of the Texas A&M AgriLife "Learn, Grow, Eat & Go!" program. Over the 12-week course, students learned about plant care, harvesting, hands-on pest control, food preparation safety, and proper garden tool use. They also sampled various recipes to explore different ways to incorporate fruits and vegetables into a healthful diet. Twenty-three students met all program requirements and “graduated,” earning Junior Master Gardener status along with a certificate and pin. The Wright Elementary Garden Club is grateful for the continued support of students’ families, the Wright Elementary administration, and community partners such as Texas A&M AgriLife, the San Antonio Botanical Garden, and the Bexar County Master Gardeners.

Come celebrate the season with us through holiday music!

Join us this Saturday at Wright Elementary for cookies with Santa! This is a first come, first serve event, while supplies last, so make sure to get here at 10 a.m. to ensure your chance to meet Santa. Hope to see you there.

We hope everyone has a safe and wonderful fall break next week. The school will be closed November 24-28 and classes will resume on December 1st. We are so grateful to be a part of this wonderful community. Enjoy your time with family and friends!

Wright Elementary December Calendar

Happy 67th day of school!

Save the date! We are having a community movie night at Wright Elementary featuring Home Alone on December 4th from 5-7 p.m.

Students in Ms. Gold's second grade class presented their Family Traditions projects to the class. After each presentation, classmates had the opportunity to ask the presenter questions about their tradition.

This week Wright Elementary dedicated our campus garden to honor Mrs. Minerva Gonzalez. Thank you for all your years of dedicated service to helping us grow.

The National Parks visited 4th grade today with a short presentation of national parks throughout the USA. At the end of the presentation, each child received a card for free admission for them and their families into any of the national parks in the United States until next September.

Thank you for your continued support!

Brighter Bits will be delivered Tuesday, December 2! Sign up today!

The Wright Elementary Garden Club students continue to care for the campus garden while exploring new recipes and participating in taste tests. They have been harvesting seeds and beans, and will soon gather their turnips! To welcome pollinators, the students planted flowering plants—much to the tomato plants’ benefit. The students are always amazed by their discoveries as they observe new insects and search for unwelcome pests.
We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of the Texas A&M AgriLife team, whose guidance helps Wright’s Garden Club and campus garden thrive.
