Only 2 weeks until our Spring Book Fair! Book fair is CASHLESS, so please make sure to create an e-wallet for your student. Scan the QR code to create the wallet. You can share your student's link with family and friends if they would like to donate to your child's fair experience! Book fair will be open shortly after school a few days that week if you would like to come by to get some books with your child! More information coming soon! We can't wait to see all of our readers there!

The Garden Club welcomed Lowe's to Wright Elementary! Lowe's graciously sponsored Kids Workshop kits for Garden Club members to assemble! Together, Lowe's Kids Workshop Captain, Carlos, of store #2786, parent volunteers, and staff members, guided the Garden Club members as they constructed a kit--either a bird house or a gear-operated lawn mower! The members also earned a badge for assembling their kit!
Lowe's Kids Workshops are FREE to the community! Participants have the opportunity to assemble a kit monthly and work toward earning a toolkit once 12 badges are earned.

Exciting Choir Experience: New York Ballet – Nepantla
Our choir had the amazing opportunity to see Nepantla by the New York Ballet! This performance fuses contemporary dance with Mexican folklórico to explore creative ways of understanding cultural and historical “in-between-ness.” One of our students even got to ask the ballerinas and director a question before the show, and the whole choir got to take a photo with the cast and founder!

Our spring book fair is coming up in just a few weeks! Just like in the fall, the book fair will be cashless. You can create an e-wallet by following the QR code on the flyer. Don't forget that you can share this wallet with family and friends if they wish to add to if for your child. This will be available Monday, March 23. I will share which students have an e-wallet with the teachers so that they can visit the fair during the day. Thank you for your continued support and we will see you soon!

We are so proud of our students and their performance at today’s esports tournament. They competed with determination, represented our campus with great sportsmanship, and gave their best effort throughout the event. We are truly proud of this group and the growth they have shown this year.
We would also like to highlight a few student achievements from today’s competition:
Pedro N.– 1st Place in Nintendo Bowling
George B. – 4th Place in Nintendo Bowling
Jonah D. – 4th Place in Nintendo Tennis
Thank you for your continued support of our students and the esports program. It truly makes a difference in providing these opportunities for them.

Don't forget our bike rodeo on Monday, March 23! Please have bikes labeled with you child's name and grade. Don't forget your helmet!!! The rodeo will begin at 9 a.m. Bike drop off ends at 7:45 a.m. See you there!

Next Monday, March 23rd is our Bike Rodeo! Please drop off all bikes by 7:45 a.m. at the kinder and first grade drop off by gym and make sure they are labeled with your child's name and grade level. We can't wait to see everyone there !

Harlandale ISD's Pre-K program gives young learners a strong foundation to grow, learn and succeed from the very start. We look forward to welcoming your child and supporting the beginning of their educational journey.

Next week is Read Across America Week! We celebrate reading this week as well as Dr. Seuss' birthday on March 2nd! We will have dress up days throughout the week and students will have the opportunity to hear some classical Seuss books. We can't wait to see everyone excited to read and celebrate next week!

Just a reminder that our Talent Show is this Friday at Wright Elementary from 5:30-7:00 pm. Tickets will be sold at the door ($4 for adults and students are FREE!) and concessions will be available for purchase. Hope to see you there!
Talent Show rehearsal will be tomorrow from 3:30 to 5:30 PM and that all performers must attend to participate in the show

Our Harlandale ISD Student Advisory Committee recently toured the new Edmundo M. Zaragoza Multipurpose Arena as construction nears completion. Student representatives heard how this state of the art facility will support academics, fine arts, athletics and special events that elevate student experiences and showcase their talents.
Built with students at the center of every moment, the arena will host performances, competitions, celebrations and community gatherings. Thank you to our community for making this vision possible through Bond 2022.
