What began as a sketch on paper has become a lasting piece of art that will welcome students for years to come.
Middle school students Adalynn Enriquez and Sophia Lazaro were selected as the winners of a districtwide mural design contest. Their winning artwork inspired two new murals outside learning spaces sponsored by JCB and Toyota at the JWC Makerspace Center. The students recently signed the completed murals alongside their families and special guests, marking a moment they'll remember while leaving a lasting legacy for future Makerspace visitors.

Join us at 6:00 PM tonight in the McCollum High School Auditorium as our Summer Theatre Camp students take the stage for The Wizard of Oz!
Featuring middle and high school students from across Harlandale ISD, this fun and entertaining production includes a unique twist on a classic tale, including a biker-inspired Wicked Witch complete with a custom "chopper" broom!
Admission is free and open to everyone. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Our Summer Mariachi Camp Closes on a High Note!
Middle School and High School Mariachi students from across Harlandale ISD came together at Harlandale High School’s Auditorium for the culminating performance of this year's Mariachi Summer Camp. Families nearly filled the auditorium as students performed classic Mariachi favorites, with many audience members singing along and recording special moments during songs like Cielito Lindo. The concert concluded with Mexico Lindo, which drew some of the loudest applause of the day.
Thank you to everyone who attended and supported our talented student musicians. Congratulations to our students and directors on a wonderful performance!

Families filled the audience as students performed Harry Potter-themed selections they learned during camp, with students from all participating schools joining together for the final songs.

Dad and Me Jamboree!
In recognition of Father's Day being this weekend, Harlandale ISD Adams Elementary welcomed fathers and father figures to its Dad and Me Jamboree, where students enjoyed a morning of putt-putt golf and quality time with the important role models in their lives. Students also presented handmade posters expressing their love and appreciation, creating memorable moments that brought smiles and even a few happy tears.
Thank you to all the fathers and father figures who joined us and helped make the day so special.

¡Papá y Yo Jamboree!
En reconocimiento al Día del Padre este fin de semana, la Escuela Primaria Adams de Harlandale ISD dió la bienvenida a padres y figuras paternas a su evento "Papá y Yo" (Dad and Me Jamboree). Ahí, los estudiantes disfrutaron de una mañana de minigolf y de tiempo de calidad junto a esas figuras clave en sus vidas. Los alumnos también presentaron posters hechos a mano para expresar su amor y gratitud, creando momentos memorables que arrancaron sonrisas e incluso alguna que otra lágrima de felicidad.
Gracias a todos los padres y figuras paternas que nos acompañaron y ayudaron a hacer de este día algo tan especial.
In recognition of Father's Day being this weekend, Harlandale ISD Adams Elementary welcomed fathers and father figures to its Dad and Me Jamboree, where students enjoyed a morning of putt-putt golf and quality time with the important role models in their lives. Students also presented handmade posters expressing their love and appreciation, creating memorable moments that brought smiles and even a few happy tears.
Thank you to all the fathers and father figures who joined us and helped make the day so special.

This was an exciting week of learning in our Harlandale ISD Gifted & Talented Summer Camp!
Students explored a variety of hands-on activities, which included:
• Designing self-sustaining homes in space through Minecraft Engineering
• Studying soil and minerals in Geology
• Learning about water flow and conservation in the HydroCore immersive experience room
• Building colorful "stained glass" and robot creations out of cardboard and translucent plastics
• Beautifying the Makerspace center through gardening projects
• Navigating robot cars through different paths depending on the color tiles they went over
Overall, it was an innovative and creative experience for everyone. Great job to all of our campers and staff for making it memorable!

¡Fuè una semana de exitante aprendizaje en nuestro campamento de verano para estudiantes superdotados y talentosos de Harlandale ISD!
Los estudiantes exploraron diversas actividades prácticas, entre ellas:
• Diseñar viviendas autosuficientes en el espacio mediante ingeniería en Minecraft
• Estudiar el suelo y los minerales en la clase de geología
• Aprender sobre el flujo y la conservación del agua en la sala de experiencia inmersiva HydroCore
• Crear coloridas figuras tipo "vitrales" y robots utilizando cartón y plásticos translúcidos
• Embellecer el centro Makerspace mediante proyectos de jardinería
• Guiar coches robóticos por diferentes trayectorias según los cuadros de colores sobre las que se desplazaban
En total, fuè una experiencia innovadora y creativa para todos. ¡Felicitaciones a todos los participantes y al personal por hacer que fuera memorable!

The Legacy Scholarship is one of the nation’s largest scholarship programs and supports high-achieving students from Bexar and Webb counties as they pursue their college education. Each recipient will receive up to $10,000 per academic year to help achieve their academic and career goals.

The concert will take place at Harlandale High School Auditorium at 2:00 PM. Our talented student musicians will be taking the stage to showcase the skills and songs they've been working on throughout camp.
