Today was the first day back for our Harlandale ISD teachers!
From preparing lessons to making their classrooms their own, our educators are already hard at work getting ready for an amazing year. Let’s show our teachers some love as we gear up for the first day of school!

It's almost here! Don't forget to stop by next Saturday, August 9 for our Back to School Bash at Harlandale Memorial Stadium from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM and get everything you need to start the school year off right! From school supplies and immunizations to free haircuts and helpful information, we have all you’ll need in one place!
Harlandale ISD joined city officials this morning to celebrate the grand opening of the Next Level Urgent Care facility at City Base San Antonio.
Through our partnership with Next Level Prime, staff and their families have unlimited access to high-quality medical care to support their health and well-being year-round.

Our 2025 Back to School Bash is coming soon! Swing by Harlandale Memorial Stadium on Saturday, August 9 from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM for free school supplies, immunizations, or a free haircut, courtesy of our skilled Harlandale ISD Barbering students!
This week, a group of determined students attended our Drone Boot Camp at the JWC Makerspace Center.
By getting a head start on their Drone Licensing Program, these students are fast-tracking their way toward completing the course and will be able to take their FAA Part 107 License test earlier than expected.
Join us in commending these students for their drive and focus—can’t wait to see where this journey takes them!

Congratulations to the Harlandale ISD students and staff recognized at our July School Board Meeting!
> Ricardo de la Cruz and Charlie Anthony were recognized for being honored at the Male Teachers of Color Collaborative Celebration for their powerful leadership and positive impact on our students.
> Rebecca de la Rosa and Madelynn Joy Ruiz were awarded the San Antonio Area Foundation’s Legacy Scholarship for their academic excellence and commitment to their community.
Also recognized was Mr. Ricardo Moreno for his years of service as School Board Trustee. We wish him the best of luck as he begins his next chapter!

This year’s Back to School Bash is set for Saturday, August 9 at Harlandale Memorial Stadium from 8:30-11:00 AM. Nearly 2,800 backpacks will be distributed to help our students start the year strong. Join us for a fun morning of resources and support for our Harlandale families!

We want to extend a big Thank You to Gonzaba Medical Group for their generous donation of close to 200 gaming headsets to our Harlandale CTE Center.
These headsets will support students across multiple of our programs like esports, shoutcasting, streaming, media production and more — helping them stay connected, collaborate, and create with confidence.
We are very grateful for community partners who invest in the future of our students.

Join us in congratulating Zachary Tarin and Eric Alaniz II for officially earning their FAA Part 107 Commercial Drone Pilot Certification!
To them, this wasn't just a test — it’s a launchpad! By earning their certification, they can now fly drones professionally and start getting paid for work in photography and video production, which are highly sought-out skills in real estate, construction, media, and more.

• Christian Coy, now in 5th grade, helped his team place 4th at the South Coast World Series in Portland.
• Kayden Contreras, a rising 1st grader, is headed this week to Louisiana for the South Zone Baseball 6U World Series South Regional.
• Kylie Johnson, a Schulze student going into 5th grade, took 1st place in the South Zone Softball World Series this past week in Louisiana.
Way to go! We are all very proud of these amazing achievements.
