The Frontier Legacy Foundation recently surprised several Harlandale ISD educators with grant awards supporting innovative classroom projects and new learning opportunities for students.
Created to support and uplift Harlandale ISD students, the Foundation helps provide resources that encourage growth, learning and success.
Congratulations to Erika Jaramillo, Norma Duran and Rita Ratnayeke from Bellaire Elementary; Kasandra Rodriguez and Sofia Gonzalez Gonzalez from Collier Elementary; Ruby Rodriguez from Gillette Elementary; Eva Ruiz from Stonewall Flanders Elementary; and Principal Desiree Barrera-Smith from Wright Elementary.

Tomorrow is our last day of school for the 2025-2026 school year! We have had so much fun this year and are looking forward to seeing everyone again in August. Tomorrow is early release at 11:45 a.m. Please make sure to have arrangements to have your students picked up by then. Have a safe and fun summer break. Our 5th graders had the opportunity to visit Texas A&M San Antonio University today.
Today, the Harlandale ISD community came together for our Memorial Day Ceremony to honor and remember members of our community who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.
We are grateful to everyone who joined us in reflection as we paid tribute to their courage, service and lasting legacy. Their sacrifice and dedication will never be forgotten.
A special thank you to the Harlandale JROTC, McCollum Trumpeters and Gillette Elementary Choir for their contributions to today’s ceremony.
Today and always, we remember and honor our heroes.

Hoy, la comunidad del Harlandale ISD se reunió para nuestra ceremonia del Día de los Caídos, con el fin de honrar y recordar a los miembros de nuestra comunidad que hicieron el sacrificio supremo al servicio de nuestro país.

Our Cafeteria team is the Bee's Knees! To celebrate our health heroes, they have transformed the cafeteria into a happen hive! Thank you to all the hard worker bees in there!
